This course is for you if…

You would like to develop your musicianship and conducting skills..

Participants will benefit from daily conducting and solfege classes that are grouped to bring together people who are at a similar level. If you have no conducting experience, but your musicianship skills are strong, you will be placed in ‘Advanced Solfege’ but ‘Basic Conducting’. This means that you will be challenged, but not overwhelmed, and your group can move forward together without anyone being left behind.

You would like to revitalise your teaching..

Fascinating and thought provoking workshops on all aspects of teaching through the Kodály method will be given each evening, to all participants by each of our visiting tutors. These workshops are applicable to anyone working in music education, primary, post-primary or peripatetic.

You would like to improve your singing and ensemble skills..

Each day begins with common singing and ends with the opportunity to work together in smaller groups in preparation for the closing concert. During the choir rehearsals Ildiko will deal with issues of voice production and score preparation. Individual half hour singing lessons will also be made available to students at a subsidised rate.
